What else goes into the cost

Beyond design and stone, these factors also affect the final figure:

The type of memorial. A single upright headstone is the most accessible option. A full memorial — with a kerb, a covering slab, and a framework around the grave — involves considerably more stone and more labour. A double memorial for a couple sits in between. The right choice depends on the cemetery, the family tradition, and what you want to honour — not on the price alone. The foundation. A proper concrete foundation, correctly sized and cured, is what keeps a memorial standing straight for generations. This is the part families never see and cheap operators almost always skip. We never skip it. It is part of every memorial we make.
